I have worked in the travel industry for nearly 30 years, it’s an addictive job! I love building relationships with my clients to then be able to create amazing experiences for their travels.

The most rewarding part of the job is catching up when they get home to hear all abut their trip.

I have been lucky to travel to many destinations, Europe, UK/Ireland, USA, Asia and many of the Pacific Islands which is an area I love to visit myself so it’s my happy place.

In my spare time I love spending time with family & friends, on the sideline supporting my kids with their sport & hanging out on the beach or in the garden.

Annabel Spicer

Hi I’m Annabel, I have an absolute passion for all things travel.

I finished my studies with New Zealand School of Tourism gaining my Level 5 & 6 Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management and being award Top Tourism Management Student in 2024. I also hold my Certificate in Travel and Tourism that I gained in 2019. After my studies I was offered a short term contract with an online Travel Agency, but I knew my end goal was to work in retail creating itineraries for the customer.

I have been fortunate enough to have travelled a fair few times since quite a young age. So far, my travels have taken me over to Australia, North America, South Pacific, and Europe.

My passion for travel was set after a 3-week school trip to Germany where we were able to full immerse ourselves into the culture, from here I knew I wanted to work somewhere within the industry.

I am looking forward to creating memorable holidays for people that will last a lifetime and putting my knowledge to good use in the next wave of travel.

Outside of work you will see me looking for the next concert or musical theatre show I can attend, catching up with friends and family or planning where I want to travel too next!

Having recently rejoined the team at Brooker Travel in Rangiora it feels like coming home.

Travel broadens your horizons and opens your minds to new and exciting destinations, cultures, landscapes, food and experiences. It is always a thrill to help people make special memories.

Having travelled and worked in the industry for 35+ years I have a wealth of insight and knowledge. Some of the countries I have visited include Australia, Fiji, Rarotonga, USA, Canada, Jamaica, Europe including Eastern Europe, United Kingdom, Thailand, Singapore & Dubai.

From close to home trips, island escapes, quick breaks to Australia, a cruise or an adventure to the likes of Europe or America I thrive at the challenge to make a difference to someone’s holiday. I also have worked in events management arranging sporting tours, weddings and honeymoon trips.

Many of my clients become my friends as we plan a trip and once travelled I like to catch up afterwards to see some amazing photos. Its also the best time to plan the next adventure.

In my spare time I am usually hanging with our animals on the farm, reading cook book’s, cooking or baking, walking the dog and in the winter skiing. Now the kids have flown the coup the sporting duties are less and its more about catching up for a meal or a new adventure.
